DESCRIPTION OF FACILITY AND EQUIPMENT

The ABC School of Massage Therapy is centrally located in Waco on Lake Air Drive, just off north Valley Mills Drive, in a very convenient and highly accessible area of the city. The school is within minutes of numerous restaurants, retail stores and medical facilities.

 

Facility:  The schools facility, comprised of approximately 1,300 sq.ft. of floor space, includes an administrative office, a large classroom, three separate massage rooms, and a break room. In addition, our built-in sound system provides each room with an enhanced acoustical environment.

 

EQUIPMENT:  ABC is equipped with massage tables of several makes and models so that the students are not required to purchase their own table while attending the school.  The therapist’s tables are one of their most important tools and we believe that students should work on a variety of tables and develop their own style and preference before making this important purchase. The school is furnished with massage chairs, hydrocollator and hot packs, and hot paraffin baths. Our office is equipped with a computer, printer/copier, and has hi-speed Internet access. We of course have the usual telephone/FAX capabilities.

 

TEACHING AIDS / TEXTBOOKS:  We use the latest Milady’s instructional material, textbooks, workbooks (Theory and Practice of Therapeutic Massage by Mark F. Beck, 4^th Ed., 2005), computer accessed illustrations (CD format), and videos available from Thomson Delmar Learning, www.delmarlearning.com. ABC also utilizes overhead projector, TV/video, chalkboard(s) and has a small reference library of bodywork texts and videos.
