Background:
We have designed our program to meet the requirements of the Texas Department of Health Services, Licensing and Certification Unit, Massage Therapy Registration Program MC-1982. We are the only locally/privately owned and operated massage school located in the Waco area.
Philosophy:
At the ABC School of Massage Therapy we provide professional massage therapy education and training, at an affordable cost, through a tailored program involving a knowledgeable, experienced, and compassionate faculty who employ a personalized approach to the educational exercise. Our intent is to ensure that in a timely and affordable manner, the student is well prepared to meet the state certification requirements. We provide an accelerated program that affords each student the opportunity to graduate in seven (7) months from the date of enrollment.
Goals and Objectives:
By only enrolling small classes we make a commitment to a superior education for our students by offering individualized attention to each student’s particular needs and capability in a professional, albeit relaxed learning environment. Our school offers a unique scheduling plan that allows the student to enter a class at any point and complete the program in a seamless timeline. We strive to create a warm, friendly, and personal classroom environment led and taught by highly qualified and supportive instructors, with the interest of each individual student as their motivation. Our goal is to provide our students with the education and skills that will allow them to progress to the state certified level of “Professional Massage Therapist”.
Program Purpose:
As massage therapy continues to grow under the dynamic field of the health professions and services, we believe it is crucial to prepare students for the many opportunities that are available to them in the therapeutic massage profession. To that end, special learning emphasis is placed on students acquiring a solid knowledge base in anatomy and physiology from the very beginning and throughout the course. At ABC, we emphasize advancement, enhancement, and enrichment of all aspects of the massage therapy profession so that students will become an integral and vital part of the community in which they will serve.
